    I completed the 39.3 mile walk for four consecutive years, the first two in Santa Barbara and the third in San Francisco, then the fourth in Santa Barbara. I am blessed to have many people around me who care, and far surpassed the $1800 requirement. This goal, as most do, required complete commitment and discipline to train, and reminded me of the importance of time management. What a thrill it was, My take away is "Push through the Pain".     I completed the 39.3 mile walk for four consecutive years, the first two in Santa Barbara and the third in San Francisco, then the fourth in Santa Barbara. I am blessed to have many people around me who care, and far surpassed the $1800 requirement. This goal, as most do, required complete commitment and discipline to train, and reminded me of the importance of time management. What a thrill it was, My take away is "Push through the Pain". The fourth year was certainly monumental. I was selected to lead a team to represent Oprah magazine, we had the largest of the four teams in four cities. Our team of 18 magnificent women raised $50,000! This incredible experience enabled me to share my passion of ending breast cancer with so many others; most rewarding was witnessing them embrace the cause.
